Regardless of where you're investing, money management is what separates the winners from the losers and it is the same in sports wagering. STRAIGHT BET AND FLAT BET
In sports investing it all starts with two key words: Straight bet and flat bet. It is as simple as that. One of the many pitfalls of novice investors is to bet the parlays, teasers, and props. These bets are highly risky and limit the probability for profits. If you like multiple plays on a particular day then straight bet them separately, you'll have more of a chance for profiting this way. Flat betting means wager a similar amount on every play. Varying the wager opens the door for taking a greater loss than should have been recorded. You'll never win 100% of your plays, but as long as you bet the same amount and win the majority of them, you'll always be in the positive.
To determine what to wager in sports, you must first establish a bankroll for your wagering needs. Your bankroll is the amount of money you are willing to risk over the course of a season to achieve a desired outcome. Be reasonable about your expectations, you more than likely won't turn $100 into $25,000 at the end of the season, but using a money management system you'll be able to capitalize on your winners and have enough in reserve to weather any potential losing streaks. Depending on the level of player you are, we recommend using percentage of bankroll to determine your wager.
WINNERS FROM LOSERS
Most beginning investors begin with a limited bankroll, perhaps a few hundred dollars up to a grand; this is what we classify as the casual sports investor. For those of you in this category, we recommend a little more aggressive strategy to help increase your odds. The reason is that you'll need to invest a significant portion of your bankroll in order to produce a profit worth risking your money for. Somewhere in the range of 5%- 7.5% is an acceptable level to wager for a casual investor.
For those of you that classify as our accredited investors a wager in the range of 2%- 3% makes sense. It provides enough leverage to profit nicely, while protecting your bankroll. Remember this isn't a hobby any more, it’s a business.
The bottom line is to avoid the desire for a quick score. Professional Sports’ Investors know that they'll never have a perfect record. More importantly, it is about producing a return on investment at the end of the week. Even if your record for the week was 3-2, which is a 60% winners to losers ratio, you should have a return on investment around 15% for the week. Ask any traditional investor if they'd be happy with 15% return on their investment, and unanimously the answer is yes. Steady profits can only be achieved by using a proven money management system such as this one. Practice it, be disciplined and watch your investment portfolio grow.

Sports Betting Management Strategy
One of Jimmy’s first rules, all sports wagering systems must start with a bankroll. This bankroll should be an amount that you can comfortably afford to risk on sports wagering. Remember, if you have to win you need to stop. For the purposes of our example, we are going to assume that a $100 = 1 unit and we begin with a bankroll of 100 units ($10,000).
We always use 2% of our beginning bankroll per day, which equals 2 Units per play. For example: 5,000,000* = 2 Units, 10,000,000* play =5 Units. Again, to be successful in sports wagering you must stick to your system, be patient, and anticipate occasional losing streaks. Even our economy experiences ups and downs.
HOW our Money Management System is used to calculate the Return on Investment (ROI)
We calculate our Return on Investment (ROI) by subtracting total losses from total wins based on the lines within a given period, using 2 units per play on all our plays. For MLB, each unit win or loss is determined by using the money line (ML). For the other major sports, each pick that is a loss is actually-2.2 units as we factor in the standard 10% vig or juice that most sports books will charge the bettor (this may vary with different sports books and there are person to person betting establishments where there is no juice or vig). We recommend that you play all of our plays at an equal amount at 2 units per play. Stay disciplined here. We strongly suggest that you do not change the amount that you bet even if you are hot or if you are temporarily cold.
When should you change the amount of a unit? We suggest that once your bankroll reaches a certain amount that you determine, an example would be that each time you a $100 bettor reaches a $1,000 profit, he may now change his wager from $100 per play to $200 per play.
